4. C.J. Mosley

One of the brightest young stars at middle linebacker may hit the open market this offseason, assuming the Baltimore Ravens do not come to their senses and extend their star linebacker. Since entering the league in 2014, C.J. Mosley has been nothing short of stellar for the Ravens. In four of his first five seasons, Mosley has earned Pro-Bowl honors.

It is not hard to see why Mosley has been a perennial Pro-Bowler. He has averaged nearly 120 tackles per season with 597 tackles in five seasons. Mosley has also tallied nine interceptions and six forced fumbles in his 77 career starts. And although it is not his strongest suit, Mosley has tacked on 8.5 sacks to his impressive statistics.

Mosley’s statistics illuminate the fact that he can do it all from the linebacker position. He is a sure tackler, great at stuffing the run, yet is also more than adequate in coverage, picking up tight ends and running backs regularly. Mosley is a prototypical linebacker in today’s NFL. He is physical with a solid frame at 6-foot-2 and 241 pounds and possesses deceptive speed.

Should he hit the free agent pool, the market for his services will be vast. The Cincinnati Bengals, Oakland Raiders, and Los Angeles Chargers all could use some help at linebacker, keep an eye on them to heavily pursue Mosley this offseason.
