3. Bryce Callahan, Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears were one of the best teams in the NFL in 2018. Whether it was stopping the run or defending the pass, the team had one of the best defenses in the NFL.

Khalil Mack anchored the defensive line, and the secondary absolutely got after it. Chicago led the league in takeaways, and Pro Football Focus ranked them as the best defensive secondary in the NFL.

Eddie Jackson, Adrian Amos, Prince Amukamara and Kyle Fuller were beasts for the Bears. But one player that didn’t get the same shine as the above names is Bryce Callahan.

Callahan earned an 81.4 rating from Pro Football Focus. That rating slotted him one rank behind Jason McCourty as the seventh best corner in the league. He played in 13 games and had two interceptions and two sacks.

The 27-year old proved to be a good inside corner. Meaning, he would play outside routes well, which is an attribute that many teams will pay for. Callahan’s ability to blitz off the edge from the cornerback spot is an underrated part of his game, and something defensive coordinators love to do if they have the correct personnel.

Currently, spotrac.com has his market value at $7 million a year. Furthermore, the website has his next contract projected to be four years for just over $28 million. Callahan is an experienced, Swiss-army knife of a corner.
