3. Another deep threat at wide receiver

Last all season, the Baltimore Ravens did a major overhaul when it came to their wide receiving corps. They grabbed Michael Crabtree off the unemployment line after he had been dumped by the Oakland Raiders. The team signed restricted free agent Willie Snead and was awarded the pass catcher after the New Orleans Saints failed to match the offer.

The team also added speedy wideout John Brown, late of the Arizona Cardinals. And the latter was the team’s best big-play options in 2018. He finished third on the club with 42 receptions, good for a Ravens-high 715 yards (17.0 average) and a team-best five touchdown receptions. Snead led Baltimore with 62 catches for 651 yards and one score, while Crabtree finished second with 54 grabs, totaling 607 yards and three TDs. The latter figure was tied with rookie tight end Mark Andrews for second on the team. He was the second of two players at that position that Ozzie Newsome drafted in ’18, along with first-round pick Hayden Hurst.

The Ravens still have three-year pro Chris Moore, who 19 passes for 196 yards and one score this past season. A pair of 2018 draft picks, Jaleel Scott and Jordan Lasley, didn’t play this past year – the latter spending ’18 on injured reserve. And Brown could test free agency after inking a one-year deal a year ago. Could GM Eric DeCosta be looking for another big-play wideout sooner than later, especially if Brown isn’t re-signed?
