10. Everything else

Two other things worth noting happened on this week’s Raw: The losers kept on losing as the team of Zack Ryder and Kurt Hawkins was defeated by the Lucha House Party duo of Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik, and Dean Ambrose was felled by a pair of Drew McIntyre Claymore Kicks in a match borne of Ambrose slapping McIntyre backstage while Triple H looked on.

Probably most curious is Ambrose walking over to Seth Rollins mid-interview and wondering where his former Shield brother was when McIntyre was bodying him; Rollins is stunned by the audacity, particularly as Ambrose and Rollins are supposed to hate one another right now. Whether work or shoot, there is something entertaining, but also sad, about these waning days of Ambrose’s WWE contract. It also has a lot of that this-isn’t-making-sense feel that has affected much of this week’s Raw.

This was also a week devoid of both Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, which is what should happen in the run-up to WrestleMania. Not only is Flair recovering from being attacked by Lynch on Sunday night, and Lynch is under threat of arrest should she show up, but both are technically SmackDown Live roster members, despite the recent fluidity between all WWE brands.

A week without the two on Raw is fine, especially when we consider what’s coming up next Monday — a 70th birthday celebration for Flair’s dad, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. That event should serve as the next step to advance the story between Lynch, Flair and Rousey and it has the potential to be a capital-M Moment.
