The Philadelphia Eagles nearly rode the Nick Foles Magic Train back to the Super Bowl this past season, as he once again took over for Carson Wentz at quarterback at the end of the regular season. Foles did not stop there, leading the Eagles to a win on the road in the  Wild Card round against the Chicago Bears, before seeing their season end in the Divisional Round against the New Orleans Saints.

The organization has made the decision to roll with Carson Wentz is their starting quarterback moving forward, which means the Foles Train in Philadelphia is coming to an end. It will be interesting to see if Wentz can stay healthy for 16-game season, as he has shown that he can be a franchise quarterback in the league, but has yet to prove he can stay healthy.

When it comes to the roster, the Eagles may have some issues to address on the defensive side of the ball, as middle linebacker Jordan Hicks is slated to be a free agent. One player who could step in right away and fill the void left by Hicks in this draft class is Alabama middle linebacker Mack Wilson, who should be one of a handful of linebackers to go in the first round this April.

The bottom line is, this Eagles team is only going to go as far as Wentz can take them, because there will be no Foles to fall back on in 2019. Wentz has the talent to be one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL, and if he can finally stay healthy, the Eagles should once again be one of the better teams in the NFC the season.
