DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – February 21, 2019
High Value PF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Al Horford (at MIL – $6,000): Needs 28 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 51.5 fantasy points against Detroit. Horford was playing great prior to the break and even with Irving back in the lineup, he should continue down this path. And he typically plays great against the Bucks. He had 38.75 fantasy points against them on Nov. 1 and gave them the business in the playoffs. It’s a different Bucks team but Horford remains a tough matchup for them. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Gordon Hayward (at MIL – $4,600): Needs 21 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37.75 fantasy points against Detroit. Hayward back? He certainly looked that way prior to the break. The return of Irving is going to take a little something away from him as it moves him down the pecking order but if he continues to shoot well, his looks will be better. He’s at a good enough salary to where he’s a risk worth taking. Diagnosis: Slightly inconsistent with a good ceiling.
Jake Layman (at BKN – $4,500): Needs 20.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.5 fantasy points against Golden State. Layman has turned himself into a nice little player for the Blazers and I suspect his role will increase following the break. I love this matchup from a DFS perspective as there should be plenty of points. And there’s some good value on the Nets from guys who I didn’t mention (cough, cough Joe Harris). Look for Layman to continue this hot stretch. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
