Players costing $6,667 or under

Jarrett Allen (vs POR – $6,200): Needs 28 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 48.9 fantasy points against Cleveland. Allen is coming off a big game against the Cavaliers but that’s the Cavaliers. The Blazers are a tough matchup but someone has to get those DFS in the Brooklyn frontcourt and Allen has been the strongest option for the majority of the season. He should get the minutes against a Nurkic and Kanter frontcourt. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

JaVale McGee (vs HOU – $6,100): Needs 27.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 9.8 fantasy points against Atlanta. Is McGee going to get enough minutes? I don’t know. I guess I’m still holding out hope that LeBron is going to play the five. But McGee has been a force against the Rockets this season, averaging 32.8 fantasy points in three games against them. So I would think that he’ll get the minutes whether it’s against Faried or Capela. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Brook Lopez (vs BOS – $5,300): Needs 23.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 27.7 fantasy points against Indiana. Lopez wasn’t even shooting well going into the break but he was making up that value with rebounding and defense. If Mirotic plays, that will complicate things a bit for Lopez. But overall you typically know what you’re getting from Lopez. And maybe they move him inside a bit more if they can play Mirotic and Lopez together (they can. And it will be scary). Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
