Tottenham’s season has been stop start with a seemingly endless number of injuries to their key players. Another transfer window with no new incoming player, and the departure of Mousa Dembele meant that the questions would just not go away. But since Tottenham’s 3-0 thrashing of Borussia Dortmund, they have had a week and a half of rest with only Burnley to focus on.

There is talk that Harry Kane might be back for this fixture, if only reserved to a place on the bench, but that is great news for Spurs. With Dele Alli also on the road to recovery, Tottenham will be close to fully fit before the final stretch of the season begins. But Burnley come first. Tottenham are in the title race, and with Liverpool visiting Manchester United on Sunday, and Manchester City preoccupied with the Carabao Cup final, Tottenham have the chance to close the gap at the top of the table to two points. With nine games to go after this week, we will have a real title race on our hands should Tottenham win this one.
