FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – February 22, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Russell Westbrook (vs UTA – $11,800): Needs 51.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 81.3 fantasy points against New Orleans. I don’t expect Westbrook to score like he did against the Pelicans prior to the break, but I do expect the triple-doubles to continue. He’s had some rough outings against the Jazz this season with his scoring but again, the rebounds and assists will be there. And he’ll chip in with a couple of defensive plays. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Kyle Lowry (vs SA – $8,000): Needs 34.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 43.3 fantasy points against Washington. Lowry was playing well going into the break and the Spurs are a good matchup based on how they’ve performed against opposing point guards this season. He didn’t play in the San Antonio meeting and he’s obviously a difference maker for the Raptors. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Jeff Teague (at NY – $7,100): Needs 30.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 50.6 fantasy points against Houston. Teague was rolling into the break and appears to be a better option than Rose at the moment. Of course, Rose is at a lower salary and has a high ceiling. And the matchup is good either way because it’s the Knicks. One of the two Timberwolves point guards will be in for a big game. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
