Players costing over $6,250

Andre Drummond (at MIA – $8,700): Needs 41.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 67.75 fantasy points against Atlanta. I’m also not opposed to Blake Griffin in this spot. But Drummond is at a slightly lesser salary and he’s had some monster games as of late. And he typically does very well against the Heat. Hassan Whiteside just goes invisible too often while Drummond is playing a reliable game right now. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Lauri Markkanen (vs BOS – $8,000): Needs 37.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 46.75 fantasy points against Orlando. Markkanen continues to get it done for the Bulls. And even though they are on a back-to-back and this is a tough matchup, I’m not doubting Markkanen right now. Until he shows signs of slowing down, you can keep taking him with confidence. Someone has to get those numbers for the Bulls and he’s proven himself. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

DeMarcus Cousins (vs HOU – $7,100): Needs 33.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37 fantasy points against Sacramento. Cousins still isn’t playing big minutes but he continues to provide strong production. His salary is up but I’m not too concerned. This is a great matchup for him as the Rockets defense isn’t good and Cousins killed them last year before his injury. Look for the Warriors to utilize him in a big way. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
