High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Buddy Hield (at OKC – $6,300): Needs 27.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.4 fantasy points against Golden State. Hield has settled into a nice spot and now he gets a matchup he typically does very well against. He had 54.7 fantasy points against the Thunder on Dec. 19 and with the Thunder on a back-to-back, they may not have their legs to keep pace with the running Kings. And I’m not sure Hield has ever missed against the Thunder. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Malcolm Brogdon (vs MIN – $5,900): Needs 25.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.2 fantasy points against Boston. You typically know what you’re going to get out of Brogdon. He’s been a reliable option all season, he’s at a good salary and he’s on the best team in the league. The only worry about this game is a blowout because the Bucks typically make a habit of blowing out these bad teams. And the Timberwolves aren’t great and are on a back-to-back. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Dwyane Wade (vs DET – $5,400): Needs 23.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 36.8 fantasy points against Philadelphia. As I said prior to the Sixers game, I’m expecting Wade to make a big push in the final quarter of the season. The Pistons are playing better but they are on a back-to-back. Wade remains at a good salary given his usual production and minutes. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
