High Value SF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Brandon Ingram (at NO – $6,400): Needs 27.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40.1 fantasy points against Houston. Ingram is coming off his best game of the season next to LeBron and as I mentioned in the previous slide, I expect the young guys to be hungry in this matchup against the Pelicans. I’m still iffy on Ingram overall but I’m going to trust him against this matchup. It’s not like the Pelicans are great in the first place. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Harrison Barnes (at OKC – $5,800): Needs 24.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 21.9 fantasy points against Golden State. Barnes has been more miss-than-hit during his time with the Kings. The good news is that he gets to play the Thunder, who is on a back-to-back, and he typically plays very well against them. He had 33.5 fantasy points against the Thunder on Dec. 31. Trust this matchup. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Kelly Oubre Jr (at ATL – $5,200): Needs 22.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 43.3 fantasy points against Cleveland. This feels like a trap. I don’t know how Oubre is at this salary given his usual minutes for the Suns, the way he’s played since the trade and the matchup. Seriously. He should be in for a huge night based on all the data and yet he’s at a salary that is far too low. Is this a trap? It has to be a trap. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
