High Value PF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Marvin Bagley III (): Needs 26.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 45.8 fantasy points against Golden State. The All-Star break did Bagley III some good as he looked refreshed against the Warriors. And now he has a good matchup against a Thunder team on a back-to-back. I worry that the Thunder won’t be able to keep up with the pace of the Kings after a tough game against the Jazz. And MB3 hurt them for 40.6 fantasy points on Nov. 19. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Thaddeus Young (at WAS – $6,000): Needs 25.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 38.9 fantasy points against New Orleans. You can go with Sabonis or Young in this spot. Sabonis may have the slightly higher ceiling but I prefer Young just because his minutes are more guaranteed. Both should be in for strong nights against a weak Washington team and frontcourt. Young definitely appears to be over his slump, which is a good sign. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Marvin Williams (vs BKN – $5,500): Needs 23.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 27.3 fantasy points against Washington. Williams has turned into a reliable option and I like this matchup against the Nets. The fantasy points should be high in this one given the state of both teams and their offensive capabilities. Even when he’s not scoring much, you chips in with rebounds to make up that value. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
