4. Pierre Desir, CB

Desir came into his own this past season with the Indianapolis Colts during a contract year. The former fourth-round pick started 18 games for the Colts the last two seasons but saw a jump in his play under first-year defensive coordinator, Matt Eberflus, and his defense.

The 28-year-old cornerback was stellar in his coverage in 2018 only allowing three first-down receptions. The Broncos struggled to fill the void left by Aqib Talib after they promoted slot cornerback, Bradley Roby, to man the right-side cornerback position. Roby’s play during the transition was lackluster to say at the least as he allowed 807 receiving yards and six touchdowns with a 117.3 passer rating when targeted, according to Pro Football Focus.

Desir serves as an upgrade over Roby not only from his play (two touchdowns given up in 2018) but his six-foot frame as well. The Broncos need some size to offer their cornerback group, and the former fourth-round pick in 2014 offers just that.
