High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Kent Bazemore (at HOU – $5,400): Needs 24.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 38.75 fantasy points against Phoenix. Bazemore is in the starting lineup and playing fairly well. And I like this matchup because I’m still not sold on Houston’s defense. And the Hawks pace is going to lead to plenty of opportunities for both teams. Bazemore can do a bit of everything on a good night but I’m expecting his scoring and rebounding to be there in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Dwyane Wade (vs PHO – $5,100): Needs 23.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 27.75 fantasy points against Detroit. I keep harping on Wade because I know the kind of effort he’s going to bring in this final month and a half. He wants to make the playoffs and he’s going to drag the Heat to the finish line if he has to. And now he gets the Suns. This should be an easy night at the office for Wade because everyone has a big night against the Suns. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Tyler Johnson (at MIA – $4,800): Needs 22.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 49.25 fantasy points against Atlanta. Johnson has strung together a couple of nice games for the Suns and maybe he’s their point guard of the future? Probably not. But this is a revenge game for him, he’s getting plenty of minutes, and he’s at a nice salary. All of that lines up to what looks like it’ll be a big night for the former Heat guard. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
