High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Russell Westbrook (at DEN – $12,200): Needs 54.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 58 fantasy points against Sacramento. Westbrook has found his scoring and while his assists have gone down as a result, that’s more due to teammates not making shots than him not getting them shots. If he puts it all together, then he’ll be back in MVP form alongside MVP candidate Paul George. And that’s scary. You can always build around Westbrook with confidence, especially in these big games where the minutes will definitely be there. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Kyrie Irving (at TOR – $9,700): Needs 43 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 62 fantasy points against Chicago. It’s also a big game for the Celtics which means it’s a big game for Kyrie. And few players step up in these games like Kyrie. He’s been great during the second half of the season and he’ll be great in this game because that’s what the Celtics need. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jamal Murray (vs OKC – $6,800): Needs 30.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.8 fantasy points against LA Clippers. We’re cheating a bit here but there are limited options at the value position and great options at the high salary position. I’m also not opposed to Dennis Smith Jr because someone has to get those numbers for the Knicks and he’s been that guy for the majority of the season. As for Murray, he tends to play well against OKC because Westbrook brings out the best in him. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

DJ Augustin (at NY – $4,800): Needs 21.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30 fantasy points against Toronto. If you would like to save money, Augustin is your best bet. There is slight blowout concern in this one but he’s at a good enough salary to where even in limited minutes he should do enough to at least get you value. You can never go wrong taking guys against the Knicks. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
