High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,667

Paul George (at DEN – $11,600): Needs 49.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 34.1 fantasy points against Sacramento. George was way down against the Kings but I’m going to chalk that up to having played a double OT game the night before over him going into a slump. He’s been big in these big games all season and I expect him to step up once again in this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Kawhi Leonard (vs BOS – $9,600): Needs 41 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 43.2 fantasy points against San Antonio. I’m going to assume that Kawhi will play in this game, though it seems like the Raptors will just rest him whenever they want to rest him. If he plays, he’ll have a big impact because he’s arguably the best player on the court and he can take over in these big games. He’s averaging 53.8 fantasy points in three games against the Celtics this season. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value SF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Kevin Knox (vs ORL – $5,700): Needs 24.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 35 fantasy points against San Antonio. I still don’t exactly trust the Knicks but I continue to like Knox’s game overall and suspect he’ll continue to get the minutes and opportunities because what are the Knicks doing if they aren’t giving him these minutes and opportunities? Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Gordon Hayward (at TOR – $5,300): Needs 22.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 16.9 fantasy points against Chicago. Hayward has been all over the place this season but he’s been strong against the Raptors, averaging 32.9 fantasy points in three games against them. So maybe this is just his matchup? I’m not opposed to the two Nuggets forwards but they’ve also been wildly inconsistent. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
