High Salary PF

Players costing over $6,667

Paul Millsap (vs OKC – $8,400): Needs 36.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 56.2 fantasy points against LA Clippers. Millsap has been on a roll and he always seems to play well against the Thunder. Even if he had been playing poorly against them, I’m not doubting him with the way he’s currently playing. He should be in for a big scoring and rebounding night in this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Pascal Siakam (vs BOS – $7,500): Needs 32.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33.7 fantasy points against Orlando. You typically know what you’re getting from Siakam. Even if he hasn’t been great against the Celtics this season (23.4 fantasy points in three games), it’s tough to doubt him with the way he’s playing. Ibaka has been more consistent against Boston but coming off the bench, his minutes aren’t quite as guaranteed. I still think you can pair them and feel comfortable, but I’m less sure with Ibaka’s new role. You can always play the matchup and go with Gordon. But Gordon is as inconsistent as they come. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value PF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jerami Grant (at DEN – $5,800): Needs 25.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 17.6 fantasy points against Sacramento. Don’t pay too much attention to the poor outing against the Kings due to the double OT game the night before. Grant usually plays big minutes and can do a bit of everything. And the Thunder will need him to show up in this game if they hope to steal one against the Nuggets. He’s been fairly reliable this season and I trust him to at least get value in this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.

Marcus Morris (at TOR – $5,100): Needs 22.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 23.7 fantasy points against Chicago. Morris hasn’t been great in recent games and has been poor against the Raptors but the minutes are typically there for him. If you want someone at a lower cost, Markieff Morris might be more reliable and I like Khem Birch as a punt option, especially against the Knicks. As for Morris, again, the minutes and opportunities will be there for him, so his ceiling is high if nothing else. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
