High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Nikola Jokic (vs OKC – $11,000): Needs 50.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 51.7 fantasy points against LA Clippers. I love Jokic in this game because he always seems to get the best of Steven Adams, who doesn’t look healthy and gasses out by the second half of every game. Jokic can do it all and he’ll definitely get a double-double and likely flirt with a triple-double. You know the minutes will be there as this should be a competitive game that comes down to the wire. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Nikola Vucevic (at NY – $10,200): Needs 46.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 52.4 fantasy points against Toronto. You can also look at Horford in this spot. He was down against the Bulls, but it’s a big game and he’ll get plenty of minutes. I also trust Horford to step up in these big games. As for Vucevic, he’s been great all season and he gets the Knicks. The only concern in this one is a blowout. A blowout will limit his ceiling, but he should still get you value. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Mitchell Robinson (vs ORL – $6,500): Needs 29.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 47.3 fantasy points against San Antonio. Robinson returned to form against the Spurs and that should be a good sign for his value coming into this game. He’s played well for most of this second half and should continue to get big minutes for the Knicks as he’s their future at center. I still worry because the Knicks can be weird with these things. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Marc Gasol (vs BOS – $5,700): Needs 26.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 28.5 fantasy points against Orlando. Gasol drew the start against the Magic and saw his minutes go up. I suspect that the more comfortable he gets in Toronto, the more minutes he’ll get. And the Magic game was the start of that run. His minutes should be up even more and he’s at a good salary if he does end up over 26 minutes. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
