The Baltimore Ravens have decided it is officially Lamar Time, as they plan to trade away Joe Flacco when the new year kicks off in March. Lamar Jackson stepped in for the injured Flacco during the 2018 NFL season, leading the Ravens to a first place finish in the AFC North, and a home game inside M&T Bank Stadium.

Unfortunately, it took Jackson quite a while to get his feet wet in his first playoff game, and by the time he got hot, the Los Angeles Chargers had built an insurmountable lead. The Ravens are in good hands with Jackson moving forward, and the hope is that he can start relying on his arm more than his feet in year two.

In order for Jackson to continue to develop, the Ravens have to keep bringing in weapons, and they could find one in A.J. Brown from Ole Miss. Brown led the SEC in receiving yards the last two seasons, and at the NFL level, he is going to be the kind of wideout you can put atop your depth chart year in and year out.

Baltimore has already started moving pieces around at the wide receiver position, released Michael Crabtree after one season this past week. Crabtree brought great veteran leadership to the group, but the Ravens want to go younger, and Brown would be a player that could lead this positon group for the foreseeable future.
