The Houston Texans saw a magical season come to a screeching halt in 2018, as they were one of the hotter teams for most of the regular season. Unfortunately, the Texans ended up on the wrong side of a Wild Card game at home, as the Indianapolis Colts came to town and eliminated them.

Looking ahead, there is a lot to like about this roster, including the man under center, Deshaun Watson. After leading the Clemson Tigers to a national title in his final season on campus, Watson has come in and become the leader of this Texans offense, but the team has to do a better job protecting him moving forward.

The Texans offensive line was nothing to write home about this past season, and that is where they should focus their efforts in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Bringing in a guy like Jawaan Taylor this late in the first round would be a nice haul, especially with him having the versatility to play multiple positions along the offensive line.

Taylor will miss the drills portion of the NFL scouting combine due to injury, but he should remain a first round talent when the draft comes around. Protecting Watson has got to be priority No. 1 for the Texans if they ever want to make it to a Super Bowl, as they certainly have the talent on both sides of the ball  to make a serious run.
