2019 NFL mock draft: Quarterbacks go early after trades
By Brad Weiss
The Los Angeles Rams made it all the way to the Super Bowl this past season, although their offense decided not to make the trip is seems against the New England Patriots. In fact, the Rams scored only three points against a very beatable Patriots defense, so there is some work to do in that respect moving forward.
One of the big questions surrounding the Rams during the playoff run was why they were not utilizing Todd Gurley to his full capabilities. It has been released that he was having some issues with his knee, and not having him at full strength really hurt the team as they tried to win their first Super Bowl since their days in St. Louis.
Heading into next season, they have to figure out what they are going to do with Rodger Saffold, a punishing offensive tackle that is headed towards free agency. Saffold is only 30-years old, but he is going to command a lot of money in free agency, so the team could decide to roll the dice on a solid offensive tackle in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Dalton Risner is not only a great offensive tackle, earning All-American honors at Kansas State last season, but is also a guy who can play up and down the offensive line. The Rams priority has to be protecting Jared Goff, and in Risner, they could bring in a nasty offensive lineman that could end up being special at the next level.
