FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – February 27, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Damian Lillard (at BOS – $9,000): Needs 39.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39.8 fantasy points against Cleveland. Lillard has settled into a nice spot now that his salary is down and he’s getting a wounded Celtics team. I have to imagine the Celtics will be better than they were against the Raptors, but if not, look out. Because the Blazers are playing very well and are rested. Lillard gets you value if nothing else in this one, but expect more. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Chris Paul (at CHA – $8,700): Needs 38.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 41.2 fantasy points against Atlanta. James Harden has let go of the reigns a bit and allowed Chris Paul, who is looking refreshed after the break, to be Chris Paul. He had 58.9 fantasy points against the Hornets last season. Both teams are different, but the Rockets need Paul even more and the Hornets still aren’t good. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Trae Young (vs MIN – $8,400): Needs 37 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 45.2 fantasy points against Houston. Young has been on a roll before and after the break and now he gets a Timberwolves team that is hungry, but still doesn’t offer much defensively. And Young is playing with all the confidence in the world, no matter the matchup. Until he shows signs of dropping off, you can keep taking him with confidence. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
