High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Elfrid Payton (at LAL – $6,200): Needs 27.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 36.8 fantasy points against Philadelphia. Payton is looking more like he did early in the season and it’s been a boost for the Pelicans, who have struggled at the point guard position. He had 37.5 fantasy points against the Lakers on Feb. 23 and the Lakers are just in a bad way right now. The minutes and opportunities will obviously be there for him. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Patrick Beverley (at UTA – $5,600): Needs 24.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 43.1 fantasy points against Dallas. Beverley can be all over the place but I like this matchup for him. While the Jazz are a tough team, the Clippers are looking to make a playoff push and Beverley knows what it takes to raise his game in the final stretch of the season. And he can do a bit of everything when he’s on his game. This is sort of a gut feeling pick. I also like Derrick White, who is getting back into form, in this spot. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Tyus Jones (at ATL – $5,300): Needs 23.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39.2 fantasy points against Sacramento. It looks like the Timberwolves are realizing that Jones is a good player and they should get him more minutes. I worry that he’ll be out of the rotation without warning, but if he stats that’s a sign that he should get the minutes. The matchup is good as the Hawks pace lends itself to DFS points. And we know Jones can produce if given the minutes. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
