High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,667

LeBron James (vs NO – $12,000): Needs 51.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 58.9 fantasy points against Memphis. LeBron has been good (at least on offense) since the break but it’s hasn’t led to wins. So I guess LeBron will have to be better. He knows he has to take over if the Lakers are going to make the playoffs. But there should be legitimate questions about whether or not he can still do it. He’s LeBron. You should never doubt LeBron. Given the matchup, this feels like a game where he has a monster performance. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Kevin Durant (at MIA – $9,600): Needs 41.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 36.4 fantasy points against Charlotte. Durant has been down in his last couple of games but I wouldn’t be too concerned. He typically plays a reliable game and he never lacks for opportunities given the team he is on. But with DeMarcus Cousins doing more, maybe it’s fair to wonder if Durant is worth it, even at this price. Unknowns in terms of status weaken SF depth but if Giannis plays, you can build around him. Durant will get you something, which is better than nothing. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Brandon Ingram (vs NO – $6,900): Needs 29.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 48.2 fantasy points against Memphis. Ingram is in the middle of the best stretch of his career and now he’s jumped to a higher salary. As mentioned above, injuries weaken the SF high salary pool, but I love the way Ingram is playing right now and the matchup is a good one given how the Pelicans typically play defense. Trust Ingram to keep it up but also be a little cautious because he’s Brandon Ingram and we’ve seen this story before. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
