High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,250

Russell Westbrook (vs PHI – $11,100): Needs 53.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 52 fantasy points against Denver. There’s no Embiid for the Sixers but that won’t stop Westbrook from trying to rub it in and keep this win streak against Philly going for OKC. He was down last game and Westbrook rarely has back-to-back games where he struggles. And with the Thunder losing, Westbrook will pick them up. I have no doubt about that. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Ben Simmons (at OKC – $8,400): Needs 39.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 36 fantasy points against New Orleans. Simmons hasn’t been great without Embiid but he usually plays well against the Thunder. Of course, is that because he has Embiid next to him or is this just a good matchup for him? Probably a little of both. He’s reliable if nothing else and I’m also a fan of Chris Paul if you’re looking to save a little money. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Donovan Mitchell (at DEN – $8,000): Needs 37.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 43.5 fantasy points. It’s a back-to-back for the Jazz while the Nuggets are rested and at home. Not great circumstances but the Jazz are usually a competitive team and Mitchell does the heavy lifting for them on offense. He’s also at a good salary due to the circumstances. I’m not in love with him but I recognize his ceiling if you’re looking to hit big at a good price compared to the rest of the high salary guards. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
