FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – February 28, 2019
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Tyus Jones (at IND – $5,300): Needs 23.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.9 fantasy points against Atlanta. With Teague out, Jones is starting and he’s a strong starter given his salary and minutes. He’s not a big scorer but he gets his assists and chips in with defense. Derrick Rose might offer a slightly higher ceiling because he can take over with his scoring but Jones is more reliable. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Collin Sexton (at NY – $5,000): Needs 21.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 15.7 fantasy points against Portland. Sexton has been up-and-down in recent contests. He was down against the Blazers so if the trend continues, he’ll be back up in this one. It’s certainly a good matchup because it’s the Knicks, but Sexton struggled against the Suns, which isn’t a great sign. The minutes and opportunities are there for him if nothing else. And it’s the Knicks. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
DJ Augustin (vs GS – $4,800): Needs 21 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 28 fantasy points against New York. Augustin continues to play big minutes and is a steady hand for the Magic. The Warriors can be a tough matchup, but they are on a back-to-back. Augustin does a bit of everything on most nights and with the Magic playing at a good pace and being a team that can keep games competitive, Augustin will get it done in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
