4. Oakland Raiders

Whether they end up playing in Oakland, San Francisco, Nevada, or Timbutku this season, the Raiders are in desperate need of a pass rush. After deciding to trade Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears for a package of draft picks, the Raiders’ pass rush was completely non-existent in 2018.

Oakland ranked dead last in the league with just 13 sacks, meaning they didn’t even take average one a game. For comparison, the next worst team (the Giants) recorded 30, meaning the Raider pass rush was historically bad.

The bizarre decision to release Bruce Irvin at midseason didn’t help, and he actually recorded 3 of the team’s 13 sacks, so the Raiders enter the offseason with only 10 sacks from players in the organization. That need, combined with a boatload of salary cap room, should mean edge rush help is a big priority for the Silver and Black.

While the Raiders should be able to take a pass rusher with one of their three first round picks, one rookie won’t be enough to terrorize opposing defenses. Adding a veteran like Graham makes a ton of sense, especially since he can help teach young players how to make the best use of their ability.

The Raiders will be moving to Las Vegas in 2020, so the last thing they want is to bring a completely non-competitive roster to Sin City. Expect Oakland to make some splurges in free agency to try and compete right away, and Graham could be in line for a huge payday if he decides to spend a season by the Bay.
