High Value PG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Elfrid Payton (at PHO – $5,600): Needs 27.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 34.75 fantasy points against LA Lakers. I’ve been banging on Payton the last couple of games and he’s continues to deliver. His salary has jumped but I’m not too worried about that given the matchup in front of him and his usual minutes and production. It’s the Suns. You can always bet against the Suns. And it’s somewhat of a revenge game for Payton. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Tyler Johnson (vs NO – $5,000): Needs 23.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.75 fantasy points against Miami. Johnson has played well in the last three games and he remains at a good salary given his usual minutes and the team he’s on. He’s been a nice compliment to Booker and if Booker is out, Johnson will have more responsibilities. The matchup is good as the Pelicans don’t offer much defense. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Patrick Beverley (at SAC – $4,900): Needs 23.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 38.5 fantasy points against Utah. Beverley has been playing well in the last two games and now he has a good matchup against the Kings. This is a big game as both teams are fighting for that last playoff spot and Beverley knows what it takes to deliver in these games. He had 47 fantasy points against the Kings on Jan. 27. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
