High Value PF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Marvin Williams (at BKN – $5,500): Needs 24.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 23.7 fantasy points against Houston. Williams has been inconsistent in recent outings, but he did have 30.6 fantasy points against the Nets on Feb. 23 if you’re looking for some confidence in him. I’m not enamored with the value at the power forward position on Friday. But Williams gets the minutes and opportunities and has a good matchup in front of him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Al-Farouq Aminu (at TOR – $5,200): Needs 22.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.8 fantasy points against Boston. The rise of Harkless has led to the fall of Aminu. But he still gets solid minutes and with Enes Kanter out in this game, there’s a chance Aminu is asked to do a bit more with the second unit. The matchup is tough but a role player is going to step up in a big way and Aminu has proven he can do just that. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Harry Giles III (vs LAC – $4,800): Needs 21 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.4 fantasy points against Milwaukee. This is all about the circumstances. With MB3 out of the lineup, I suspect Giles will get more playing time. Bjelica will also see more playing time so you might want to give him a look at the small forward position. But I have more faith in Giles getting those minutes after his performance against the Bucks. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
