High Value C

Players costing $6,250 or under

Steven Adams (at MIN – $6,100): Needs 29.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 46 fantasy points against Memphis. Adams has picked up his game with George out of the lineup and his salary has actually dropped. The Timberwolves can be a good matchup with their lack of defense. His rebounding numbers are up and George isn’t around to take those from him and he does enough with his scoring to get you a double-double. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Marc Gasol (vs HOU – $5,700): Needs 27.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 36.5 fantasy points against Detroit. I don’t know how Gasol’s salary hasn’t jumped based on these last two games. But he’s still under the line and he has a good matchup against the Rockets defense. He’s going to be tough to handle with his ability to do a bit of everything. Kawhi being back in the lineup certainly makes things easier for him. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Enes Kanter (at MEM – $4,500): Needs 21.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 21 fantasy points against Charlotte. Kanter isn’t playing many minutes but he’s doing enough in those limited minutes and his salary has dropped to a very reasonable level. And he could end up playing more minutes in this game as it might turn into a blowout given the way the Blazers have played on this road trip and the Grizzlies being the Grizzlies. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
