High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Andrew Wiggins (vs OKC – $5,700): Needs 26.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 21 fantasy points against Washington. I’ll never trust Andrew Wiggins. But there are three matchups where he shines. The Cavaliers, the Raptors, and the Thunder. And he gets the Thunder on Tuesday. He’s averaging 54.3 fantasy points in two games against the Thunder this season. I don’t know what it is with this matchup, but he brings his best against them. I understand if you don’t want to trust him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Terrence Ross (at PHI – $4,700): Needs 21.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 7.75 fantasy points against Cleveland. Somehow, Ross wasn’t good against the Cavaliers. It’s worrisome, but he’s earned enough trust to think he’ll bounce back in this matchup. He’s averaging 26.2 fantasy points in his last three games against the Sixers. He has a low floor, but he’s also at a good salary based on his usual minutes and opportunities. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Wesley Matthews (vs CHI – $4,100): Needs 19 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.75 fantasy points against Orlando. Matthews has settled into a nice rhythm with the Pacers and continues to play plenty of minutes. The Bulls are a good matchup because they are the Bulls and just aren’t a very good team. Matthews is at a very good salary given his minutes and chances and makes for a fantastic value play with all things considered. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
