2. Magic

Magic works twofold – Not only is it a great way to beat the Lightning but it’s also a great way to

have everyone close to you question what you are going with your life

impress your friends and family! This is especially relevant if the Lightning end up playing the Vegas Golden Knights in the final. The Golden Knights have no shortage of magic teachers in Vegas.

“Where’s the puck?” Asks Andrei Vasilevskiy. It was behind your ear, in the net, the whole time. MAGIC!

“Want to see me put a sharp, broken hockey stick through my torso?” Eww, no! Get out of here, David Blaine, you tired-looking psycho.

Are we starting to pick up on a theme here? The Tampa Bay Lightning are going to be nearly impossible to beat in the NHL playoffs. Any team that faces them will need a bit of magic on their side to even make it a series, let alone win. There’s no such thing as luck but Eastern Conference teams are going to need some if they want to beat Tampa and play for the Cup.

The best case scenario for a Western Conference team looking to beat the Lightning is having hope that they don’t run through the East in four and five game series’. The West is top-heavy and every series is going to be a bloodbath. Whoever comes out of the West will be exhausted and they are going to need some combination of Boston, Toronto, Washington and/or Pittsburgh to give Tampa a couple of seven game barn burners. If this happens, it might as well be magic.

Last but not least…
