Seattle Seahawks free agency 2019: Top 5 targets
4. DT Bennie Logan (Tennessee Titans)
The Seahawks recently made the decision to finally part ways with 2017 second-round pick Malik McDowell. The once-promising defensive tackle simply could not get on the field in two years with the club after being injured in an ATV accident three months from Seattle making him the 35th-overall pick in that year’s draft. In 2018, defensive tackle Shamar Stephen joined Seattle after four seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. He played in 15 games and made 14 starts, finishing with 25 tackles and a pair of sacks.
Three-year defensive tackle Jarran Reed was also on the inside this past season and enjoyed a breakout campaign. He started all 16 games and totaled 50 stops, 10.5 sacks and two fumble recoveries. General manager John Schneider could certainly look to add a veteran inside to pair with the emerging pro.
Once a versatile staple for the Philadelphia Eagles, six-year veteran Bennie Logan has suddenly played for three different teams in as many years. But after starting at least 12 games for the Eagles and Chiefs over the previous four years, he played in 15 contests and made zero starts for the Tennessee Titans in 2018. He finished with a modest 14 tackles. But a bounce-back season could be in the making if he heads to the Pacific Northwest.
