2019 NFL Mock Draft: Kyler Murray goes to Cardinals
By Brad Weiss
The Tennessee Titans will look to bounce back in a big way in 2019, as they saw their 2018 season end in disappointment in front of the home fans. Playing against the Indianapolis Colts in a win-and-get-in scenario in Week 17, the Titans could not take care of business, as Andrew Luck and company locked up the Wild Card and a berth in the playoffs.
As they head into next season, the Titans have a lot of work to do with the roster, as the AFC South should be loaded once again. Of the four teams, every single one of them has made it to the playoffs over the last two seasons, and the Titans have to get better on both sides of the ball to keep pace in 2019.
One area they could look to target in the first round in April is tight end, where another Iowa tight end should be off the board by the second round. After teammate T.J. Hockenson goes in the top-10, Noah Fant joins him in the top-20, and would be a perfect fit for a team getting older at the position.
Delanie Walker is getting up there in age, and while Tennessee has a younger option in Jonnu Smith, Fant is an upgrade over him in all areas of the position. Fant is going to be a first rounder, especially after a solid combine, and the Titans would be wise to continue to give Marcus Mariota weapons moving forward.
