Edge. Ohio State. Nick Bosa. 2. player. 42.

The San Francisco 49ers currently hold the No. 2 overall pick this April, and you can be sure they will have their hand on the phone ready to receive offers for the pick. The 49ers already have their starting quarterback in Jimmy Garoppolo, who the franchise paid big money for last offseason, so teams needing one will likely reach out to gauge interest in getting pick No. 2.

If they do stay at No. 2 overall, they have to do something to address the pass rush, and Nick Bosa from Ohio State is considered the best of the bunch in this draft class. Bosa had a dominant career at Ohio State when healthy, and now that he decided to sit out the end of his last season with the Buckeyes, he appears to be just that heading into the draft.

San Francisco made a lot of moves to bolster their roster last season, but when Garoppolo went down to a season-ending knee injury, that spelled the end of any chance they had of making the playoffs. They still have talent on both sides of the ball, and you have to think that one good draft class should get them right back into the mix in the NFC West next season.

Garoppolo is a solid NFL quarterback, and the team will also be getting running back Jerick McKinnon back, who also had a season-ending injury last year. San Francisco is a team to keep an eye on next season, as it will be year three of the Kyle Shanahan-John Lynch marriage, a union that has not yielded much in terms of wins just yet.
