2019 NFL Mock Draft: Kyler Murray goes to Cardinals
By Brad Weiss
The Seattle Seahawks actually surprised some people this past season, as not many expected them to be a playoff team in 2018. Head coach Pete Carroll may have done his best job of his career, as this team had so many questions heading into the season, and he answered a lot of them.
One of the constants on this team has been the play of quarterback Russell Wilson, and having a solid defense, and it has helped them to two Super Bowl appearances. Wilson was solid once again in 2018, but the defense was not supposed to be great, and they certainly played well above expectations this past season.
Heading into 2019, the Seahawks should look to add talent to the defensive line, and Christian Wilkins from Clemson is a guy who will be called in the first round this April. He was a main cog on a Clemson team that won two national titles during his time at the school, and is one of the better overall prospects in this draft class.
The Seahawks should be right back in the mix for a playoff spot next season, as Wilson is still one of the more elite quarterbacks in the NFL. This defense has taken its fair share of hits in terms of people leaving via free agency, but they continue to reload, and Wilkins is a guy who could be a cornerstone on the roster moving forward.
