Devin Bush. 27. player. 28. . Linebacker. Michigan

The Oakland Raiders will pick for the third, and final  time, at pick No. 27, and they could look to stay on the defensive side of the ball. After bringing in an edge rusher at No. 4 with Josh Allen, and a cornerback at No. 24 in Deandre Baker, Oakland could address the middle of the defense at No. 27.

Devin Bush showed during his time at Michigan that he could be one of the more versatile linebackers in this draft class, and someone who could start in Oakland on the outside in year one. The team brought in Tahir Whitehead last offseason, and he led the team in tackles in 2018, but he needs help in Paul Guenther’s 4-3 scheme.

Bush is a guy who can come in and add depth to the position group, and this position was by far one of the weakest on the roster last season. The Raiders have to be better at all three levels if they want to put a competitive team on the field next season, and adding a talent like Bush certainly helps them accomplish that.

New general manager Mike Mayock is a former draft analyst, and he has said that the Raiders are not going to draft positions, but good football players. Bush both helps a position of need, and is a good football player, so adding him at No. 27 certainly sounds like a win-win for the Silver and Black.
