The Buffalo Bills ended an 18-year playoff drought back in 2017, the first season with new head coach Sean McDermott on the sidelines. Unfortunately, they could not capitalize on the momentum in 2018, but for good reason, as they were working a rookie quarterback into the mix in Josh Allen.

Allen showed, especially towards the end of the season, that he has the physical gifts to be a solid quarterback at the NFL level. While he did struggle with accuracy, much like he did at Wyoming, he made big plays with his legs, and the Bills have to be happy that they moved up in round one and got him last April.

With Allen in the fold, the Bills need to do something to protect him, and may decide to utilize their top-10 pick on an offensive lineman this offseason. Jawaan Taylor was one of the offensive line standouts during the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine, and should be the first offensive lineman off the board after his performance.

Taylor is a guy who can play a number of different roles on the Bills offensive line, and would be an immediate starter for the team  next season. He projects to be a solid left or right tackle at the NFL level, and this Bills team need help up front, especially if they want to keep Allen off the shelf, after he missed time as a rookie due to injury.
