Players costing over $6,250

Nikola Jokic (at LAL – $10,600): Needs 51.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 44.5 fantasy points against San Antonio. Jokic has underperformed in the last three games and yet his salary has gone up because of the matchup. So let’s talk about this matchup. The Lakers will have no answer for Jokic and the Nuggets know it. And the Nuggets need a win, so everything, even more than usual, will run through Jokic. He should be in for a big bounce back night. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Andre Drummond (vs MIN – $9,000): Needs 43.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 43.75 fantasy points against Toronto. Drummond has cooled off since an extremely hot run prior to the break, but I love this matchup for him as the Timberwolves are on a back-to-back. Drummond and Towns will probably trade buckets and rebounds. Drummond is at a lower salary and his ceiling is just as high. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Deandre Ayton (vs NY – $7,400): Needs 35.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 44.5 fantasy points against Milwaukee. But if you want to save money and still score big fantasy points at the position, Ayton is my favorite play here. It’s the Knicks. And Ayton has been playing very well in the last two games. It’s no surprise that the Suns have been playing well with Ayton turning things around and rediscovering his form from earlier this season. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
