High Value PF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Bobby Portis (vs DAL – $6,000): Needs 28.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME 43.5 fantasy points against Minnesota. Portis has been up-and-down in his recent games. He was up against the Timberwolves, so if the trend continues, he’ll be down in this one. I expect him to break the trend simply due to the matchup. The Mavericks have nothing going on with their frontcourt and Portis has a proven ceiling. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Bam Adebayo (at CHA – $5,400): Needs 25.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 20 fantasy points against Atlanta. Adebayo was down against the Hawks due to his lack of minutes but there’s reason to think he’ll be back up in this one. You can also go with Kelly Olynyk in this spot. The Heat frontcourt rotation is always weird but Adebayo should be able to take advantage of this matchup. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Jae Crowder (at NO – $4,700): Needs 22 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 35 fantasy points against New Orleans. I know Favors has been the flavor in recent weeks, but I’ve always been a fan of Crowder just due to his versatility and the minutes he typically gets. They need his versatility in this game if they want to bounce back against the Pelicans. He played well two days ago against them and I expect him to keep it up in this game. His salary certainly helps as he’s on the lower end relative to the field. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
