FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – March 7, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Russell Westbrook (at POR – $12,200): Needs 52.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 60.6 fantasy points against Minnesota. Westbrook has been up-and-down in recent games and that’s just sort of who Westbrook is. But he’s played well against the Blazers this season, averaging 56.5 fantasy points in three games against them. But with the way OKC has looked lately, it’s tough to trust him in this matchup given his salary. However, it’s a slow night and Westbrook has arguably the highest ceiling of any player stepping foot on the court on Thursday. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Damian Lillard (vs OKC – $9,800): Needs 42.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33.4 fantasy points against Memphis. Lillard wasn’t great at the end of the road trip but I’m not too concerned. Have you seen the Thunder defense lately? It’s brutal. Like, really bad. And Lillard wants this game after the way the last two games between these two teams have ended. He’ll bounce back strong in this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Eric Bledsoe (vs IND – $7,300): Needs 31.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 28.5 fantasy points against Phoenix. We’re cheating already but I promise to name value players as high salary players later. It’s that kind of night. Bledsoe was down against the Suns but I’m not concerned. He’ll be better against a tougher matchup and the Bucks will be better at home. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Darren Collison (at MIL – $7,000): Needs 30.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.8 fantasy points against Chicago. Even though the Pacers have the toughest matchup on the night, Collison might be your most reliable option. His low salary certainly helps. But he’s also been playing very well for the Pacers. He should do enough to at least get you value. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.
