High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,667

CJ McCollum (vs OKC – $8,000): Needs 34.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 34.4 fantasy points against Memphis. McCollum has been up-and-down in the last couple of weeks. He was up in his last game, so if the trend continues, he’ll be down in this one. But McCollum typically plays well against the Thunder (though he hasn’t
been great this season). And again, have you seen the Thunder defense lately? Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Khris Middleton (vs IND – $7,500): Needs 32 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.4 fantasy points against Phoenix. I’m willing to write off the Bucks game against the Suns because it was the end of a long road trip and the Bucks didn’t exactly need to win. They’ll be better against the Pacers because the Pacers are perceived as a threat. Middleton will have a bounce-back performance in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Malcolm Brogdon (vs IND – $6,500): Needs 27.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.4 fantasy points against Phoenix. I’m a broken record when it comes to Brogdon. He gets you at least value in every single game. Without fail. It doesn’t matter. He’s going to get you value. I wish he showed a higher ceiling, but you can never go wrong with taking some guaranteed points. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.

Wesley Matthews (at MIL – $4,700): Needs 20.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 20.6 fantasy points against Chicago. Matthews has been playing well for the Pacers. The matchup is tough because Matthews has been a steady hand, gets plenty of minutes and gets the opportunities as well. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
