FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – March 7, 2019
High Salary PF
Players costing over $6,667
Thaddeus Young (at MIL – $6,600): Needs 29.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30 fantasy points against Chicago. I told you we’d get to listing value players under a high salary. It’s a weak night at power forward and Young has been playing very well during this recent stretch. It’s a tough matchup but with the injury to Sabonis, Young will continue to get big minutes and opportunities. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Jerami Grant (at POR – $5,600): Needs 24.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 17.1 fantasy points against Minnesota. Grant has been up-and-down in the last four games. He was down against the Timberwolves, so maybe he’ll bounce back with a strong performance in this one. He had 26 fantasy points against the Blazers on Jan. 22. I think he’ll bounce back with a solid performance. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
High Value PF
Players costing $6,667 or under
Al-Farouq Aminu (vs OKC – $4,900): Needs 21.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 14.7 fantasy points against Memphis. Aminu has taken a backseat to Harkless in recent contests. But he’s played well against the Thunder this season, averaging 29.8 fantasy points in the three games. He’s at a better salary but he’s a slight risk with the way Harkless has been playing right now. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a decent ceiling.
Markieff Morris (at POR – $3,600): Needs 15.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 11 fantasy points against Minnesota. Morris hasn’t been great as a member of the Thunder and Ilyasova is the more reliable option. But Morris has a history of success against the Blazers and he could see some minutes against Enes Kanter. Have you seen Enes Kanter’s defense? It’s worse than the Thunder defense. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a good ceiling.
