FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – March 8, 2019
High Value PF
Players costing $6,667 or under
Kelly Olynyk (vs CLE – $6,400): Needs 28.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 44.7 fantasy points against Charlotte. Aside from a rough game against Atlanta, which should not have been a rough game, Olynyk has played very well lately for the Heat. He’s a playoff guy who knows he needs to ramp it up to help Wade make the postseason one more time. That’s the goal, right? It’s the Cavaliers, who still aren’t good, even with Love. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Serge Ibaka (at NO – $5,500): Needs 24.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 44 fantasy points against Houston. If Ibaka is starting, you can take him with some amount of confidence. He could still start and then play less than 20 minutes, which is the fear. But he and Siakam have been deadly all season and maybe Toronto is realizing they need to go back to that. If he’s coming off the bench, the minutes might not be there. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
Marvin Williams (vs WAS – $5,200): Needs 22.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 17.8 fantasy points against Miami. Williams was down against the Heat but I’m not concerned. Miami is a tough matchup and Williams isn’t the guy who is going to create on his own. He had 27.3 fantasy points against the Wizards on Feb. 22 and Washington is a much better matchup with their frontcourt. He’ll bounce back to value and then some on Friday. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
