High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Brook Lopez (vs CHA – $6,200): Needs 28 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 34.2 fantasy points against Indiana. Lopez has been up-and-down in recent contests. He was up against the Pacers, so if the trend continues, he’ll be down in this one. But the Hornets are a good matchup with their lack of frontcourt and Lopez never lacks for minutes and opportunities. He’s sort of a boom or bust player. Which can make it tough. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Jarrett Allen (at ATL – $5,900): Needs 26.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33.7 fantasy points against Cleveland. Allen was good against the Cavaliers but brutal in the three games before that. The matchup is a good one but this salary feels a tad too high given his production over the last week. I like his ceiling though based on the matchup. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a high ceiling.

Cody Zeller (at MIL – $5,700): Needs 25.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 24.7 fantasy points against Washington. If nothing else, Zeller is a reliable option. The Hornets don’t have a lot going on in their frontcourt and Zeller at least gets the minute and opportunities on most nights. It’s a tough matchup but someone has to get it done for the Hornets at this position and Zeller has certainly been their top guy. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.
