High Salary C

Players costing over $6,250

Karl-Anthony Towns (vs NY – $10,300): Needs 50.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 72 fantasy points against Washington. It’s a back-to-back for both teams but the Timberwolves are at home and the Knicks are the Knicks. You can always spend a little less and go with Vucevic at this position as he’s been a reliable option all season. But his matchup is tougher. It’s the Knicks. And Towns is a high ceiling guy who has been playing well for the majority of the season. If Towns is injured, look towards Nikola Vucevic. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

DeMarcus Cousins (vs PHO – $7,900): Needs 38.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 46.5 fantasy points against Denver. Cousins continues to deliver as a member of the Warriors, even if everything thinks he’s playing poorly. Forget what the eye test and advanced numbers say. We only care about the box score and Cousins is delivering there. It’s the Suns. He’ll get enough points and plenty of rebounds to make it easily worth your while. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Clint Capela (at DAL – $7,000): Needs 34.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 36.25 fantasy points against Philadelphia. Capela didn’t play the minutes to have the monster game against the Sixers that I thought he would have. But the good news is he’s starting to get back into rhythm and now he gets Dallas. They don’t have much in their frontcourt and Capela should have no problem getting easy points and rebounds. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
