Players costing $6,667 or under

Derrick White (vs MIL – $6,500): Needs 27.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 54.7 fantasy points against Atlanta. White’s salary has dropped likely due to the matchup. But the Spurs are great at home and the Bucks are on a back-to-back, which should help White’s case. What really helps his case is that fact that he’s just an excellent player. And he’ll get it done in this one because tough matchups bring out the best in him. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Derrick Rose (vs NY – $5,300): Needs 22.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 38.1 fantasy points against Washington. Rose’s minutes are down and he’s not having the big game he had earlier this season, but it’s the Knicks. And you know Rose wants to take it to the Knicks. They are a pretty easy team to take it to, as well. His minutes might be up just due to the circumstances of the back-to-back. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Jalen Brunson (vs HOU – $4,900): Needs 21.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.9 fantasy points against Orlando. You can actually spend a little less and grab Frank Jackson at this position as well. With Holiday out, his minutes will be up and his matchup is very good. But Brunson is playing well and playing plenty of minutes too. His matchup is tougher, but I like his game right now. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
