Players costing over $6,667

DeMar DeRozan (vs MIL – $8,700): Needs 37.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME -27.1 fantasy points against Atlanta. DeRozan has been up-and-down in recent contests but the Spurs are at home, where DeRozan typically plays well and this is a matchup he’s done very well against in the last two seasons. He had 52.3 fantasy points against the Bucks on Nov. 24 and is averaging 53.5 fantasy points in his last four games against them. He just thrives against this matchup. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Klay Thompson (vs PHO – $7,800): Needs 33.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 56.6 fantasy points against Denver. Even when the Warriors were struggling, Klay was getting his numbers. He makes the team whole again because he’s a low maintenance guy who just needs his shots. And he gets his shots. And now he gets the Suns. He probably won’t be needed much but he’s at a good enough salary to where he should hit value. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Khris Middleton (at SA – $7,600): Needs 32.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 19.7 fantasy points against Charlotte. It’s a back-to-back for the Bucks and the Spurs are tough at home. But Middleton has been good more often than not this season and with all the attention on Giannis, he should find the openings he’s looking for. If you want to spend at this position, obviously Harden is Harden and I like Luka to rise to the occasion and matchup. But Middle offers great value. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
