Players costing $6,667 or under

Tyler Johnson (vs UTA – $5,500): Needs 23.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.3 fantasy points against Golden State. Johnson has been a bit inconsistent as of late but the Jazz are weak against the position and the value point guard group isn’t all that great. Johnson gets the minutes and the Suns are a competitive bunch right now. And Johnson can pick it up, getting numbers in all categories. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

DJ Augustin (at WAS – $4,300): Needs 18.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 19.9 fantasy points against Memphis. Yeah, it’s a bad night at the point guard position. But Augustin gets the minutes and runs plenty of the Orlando offense. If Aaron Gordon doesn’t end up playing, other guys will have to step up. The Wizards are the team to step up against. He’ll get you value if nothing else but I think he does more in this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Ish Smith (at MIA – $4,300): Needs 18.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 21.8 fantasy points against Brooklyn. Smith continues to provide excellent minutes off the bench. Miami can be a tough matchup but I like Smith’s game right now and he’s at a good salary given his usual minutes and production. Another guy who should get you value if nothing else. The ceiling may not be quite as high. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.
